Environment center trip

On the 30th of July we left school at 9:30 to go on a walk to the environment center. On the way there we went to the Botanical Gardens to eat some morning tea and have a little play. We then walked to the library to browse around for books. The kids that brought their library cards got to return or issue books. This was my favourite part of the trip. We stayed at the library for 20 minutes before we started making our way to the Enviro Center. When we got there we still had 15 minutes to wait so we had some lunch. We went in in little groups. We sat down on the mat and waited for Kirsty (the instructor) to begin. She told us that we would be doing rotations for all of the activities we would be doing. My favourite part was when we did and outdoor scavenger hunt. We had to look for things that could be reused in the garden etc etc. I found this whole experience fun all the same.

  1. Hi Estella, Sammi from Paroa School here.
The walk you went on sounded super fun. I wish I could go to places like that but Greymouth is to small. Check out my blog by clicking on my name up the top.
    Thanks, Sammi

  2. Hi Sammi, thank you for commenting on my blog. The walk was really fun. Is Greymouth in the south island? Have you ever been on any school trips before? I might do some research on Greymouth to see what places you can go to to learn of have some fun. I will make sure to check out your blog.
    Thanks again,
    Estella
